Determining age
Hey I went through the care sheet. Unless I missed it I didn't see anything about determining age? I know my BTS is not a year yet (i think...) but he has grown a bit since I've had him. He has still been shedding at least once a month. His last two sheds however I'm pretty sure were within the same month. I was not recording his sheds though so just going off my memory. I know with other lizards you can usually "estimate" by the length of the lizard up to a year. I was just wondering if this also applied with BTS?

You can get a rough estimate based on its size but not incredibly accurate because the amount of factors that are taken into account (Raised on good diet vs poor diet, it may be a runt, it might be bigger then average, might be a slow grower etc).

Breeders and long term owners on here are usually pretty good at guesses if they have pictures from the top and his measurements and such

Okay I will throw some pictures of him up tomorrow and let someone take a stab at it. He is sleeping right now and don't want to wake him.

Post some pictures of him and remind us where you got him from, and what info you have, if any at all, on him.

Sorry guys, I am having computer issues with loading pictures. It is not do to the website. Until I get it figured out I will have to come back to this topic later. If it dies out I will just post pictures with a new topic.

My Bluey is about two years old and I've had him for a couple weeks and only in the last two days have I seen him yawn (Gasping) is this normal?

Yeah they yawn from time to time rare to see it or catch it on pictures.
