Good luck Ray. Hope you get some nice babies from this. What is the weight of this trio? Just trying to get an idea when my skinks are ready.

Re: 2014 Babies Breeding
What is the minimum age to start breeding? I've got a three year old Northern we think female and a friend of mine has a year old male (has seen sperm plugs already) Would this pair be ok to introduce? Of course would be supervised!
Did not even consider it before I saw this!

Re: 2014 Babies Breeding
Splashy that should be fine. I have a 3 1/2 year old northern female breeding with a 9 month old male producing plugs. They have bred twice. As long as you cycle them over the winter to trigger ovulation.

Re: 2014 Babies Breeding
When would be a good time to introduce? My girl is just coming out of brumation, which she chose to do herself as I did not change anything but my apartment is hot as hell in summer, and I'm sure she felt temp change even with no changes to her lighting. She is starting to come out and bask again once in a while, but still not eating much (does not need to, she is chubby and has not lost an ounce!) For what I'm told, breeding season now?? This is so exciting...

Re: 2014 Babies Breeding
For most species in the northern hemisphere breeding season is now. Please make sure your female is grown size before trying to introduce.
