New box of Meraukes UPDATED

Postby Scincoides » Fri Feb 21, 2014 1:45 pm

Just got a few awesome imported meraukes in. Heres a few photos. One of each animal in natural sunlight and in artificial lighting. Any guesses as to which one is my favorite?

James... I don't know if your allowed up here this weekend lol you might snatch my skinks. The two less than pretty ones are in deep shed. They will be nice to. The reduced pattern one has a funky belly and a few of the others have a similar belly pattern. Maybe they are related.

Jeff, the tanimbar is definitely my favorite to

Very nice Austin. Numbers 2 and 3 are my favourites. I like the creamy/yellow background with reddish stripes/markings.

Most skinks that would be called totally T.g.gigas would have completely patternless, totally black front legs. There are “indos” with minimal markings on the front legs, but those would generally be considered the “in-betweeners”. A pattern on the front legs is a merauke trait.

12-15 inches. I had housing prepared for "fresh babies" mildly concerned now as to where I am going to put them. But it will give me something to look forward to for when I get off work. The first dark one now belongs to Mr. Jbolar, as compensation for his general awesomeness and the fact that I still hadnt played him for the gigas he got me at the show
