Bump on hips on skink on fauna

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=359242 The poster says its not MBD but rather the skinks size that would probably cause the bump on her hips. Is this true? Do you think she's female based on the photos posted?

That bump looks very similar to what my Merauke has from her past MBD. She doesn't have it now, but it was caused by that. I don't think size would have that kind of an affect on the bone structure if the bones were strong.

Its definatly not the largest on record,lol

A good size though,the bumps may not be mbd,often when young they climb walls of cage and if theu bend backs awkwardly they can give there lower back area a kink from it that stays there,its harder to see in adults but is still there often making there back area apear lumpy like in the pics,i have a couple i purchased wirh that plus one that did it as a juvie,oddly its all females for me that have it,but thats probably just coincidental

I would want to know everything that happened with the vet before I accepted that it was not MBD, and regardless I would never breed a female with a deformity like that - what happens if having babies puts too much stress on her already weak body, and the mom and all the babies die? Sad to see it being sold as a breeder, that just seems cruel and dangerous for the skink.
