Poor Little Skink with mouth abcess
So here is an update on the skink with the mouth abcess/crusty eye. His eye is better, but
when he came back from the vet someone put him with the other baby skink, and supposetly they fought and his tail got cut (kinda like a razor cut) I'm not quite sure if someone from the vet did it, since the girl was trying so hard to take him home and the manager said only if something major happens that then he will have to be adopted out, then all of a suddent his tail gets cut, so IDK. But these people at the vet didnt know a darn thing about him so I'm somewhat educaing the vet
. Now that I have him set up with a heat light 24/7 and he is on reptile carpet so no bedding gets in his cut he is doing better. But when I went check up on him in the sick room today, the manager said he was rolling around, but when I checked on him I noticed he wasn't using one of his back legs
, other than that when I pick him up he doesn't bite or hiss and is very active so thats atleast a good thing, and more good news I talked to our head manager of the store and I'm adopting him out tomorrow and taking him to a real reptile vet, so he can get the real help he needs. So hopefully I can get this little guy back to good health.

And also forgot to say that they haven't done anything with the abcess on his lower jaw but give him liquid baytril, but i think he needs more than just that.

I'm glad he's going with you for adoption, it sounds like he might have some major issues. Hopefully you'll get him back to health with the help of a proper vet.

Poor little skinky. Sounds hard <3 I wish some vets wouldn't pretend they know everything... That's why I take mine to Cornell!!
But it sounds like he could be OK just so long as he gets to a good vet ASAP. Hope he pulls through!! Sending good thoughts.
If love is a labor, I'll slave to the end.
