cage
i will post pics soon .I checked around the forum some folks are reccomending 6 or 7 inches . A breeder I know uses 20 gal tanks for his adultsand they are 12" high , I have my IJ in a front opening enclosure that is 13 inches high and it seems to be working out ok ,

I have plastic tanks too and they're great. I like how they look and how easy they are to work with, and the skinks seem to feel safe and secure inside.
I do prefer 16" high tanks to give me more space to move around and pick up my skinks. I have some 12" tanks and they work alright, I just put my friendlier skinks in those tanks

How did you install the light ?
Also you could get a larger cage for cheaper at boamaster, but I've never used them so...
Also what is a heat panel http://boamaster.com/products/4ft_high_ ... -48-3.html
and how would I get a light fixture in there?

Heat Panels (Or RHP - Radiant Heat Panel) are a safe-to-touch heat source that can be attached to the roof inside the tank. They're a bit more expensive but should last a long time, take very little space, and are very safe.
