Last two of the kies!

Postby Bird_Brain » Mon Oct 24, 2011 8:29 pm

Alright, so both have finally shed. Their lights were already out and didnt feel like digging around behind the cages to turn the timer back on, so I risked all my fingers and arms handling these guys. Kei Kei was the easiest to handle while Polly was trying to kill me.

Kei Kei is a LTC female. She is wild when first handled, but calms down quickly.

Polly is a LTC who constantly tries to kill any and everything. I had to use a pillow case to calm her down enough for pictures. Sorry you really cant see much of her lol.

And updated pictures of Hulk. He is shedding and again, the most "green" colored skink I have.

I still need to get new pictures of Sage as well. Will try tomorrow when I feed them all.

Yes, Hulk definitely did not get his name for his size. Just that he is a green monster!

GORGEOUS!! Wow! Thanks for taking these!

Polly is so beautiful... Some amazing reds / yellows to her. Just wow. Those are incredible looking skinks that we really don't see enough of, thanks for sharing Kei pics.

I also LOVE Polly's angry face.

Thanks, Kat! I love Polly as well, just wish she had a better attitude! Anything that goes in her cage is instantly attacked. She is the female that kept ripping tails off of males while in Andrew's care.

She is one that Id really like to breed!

Supposed to be nice weather tomorrow. May just surprise you with Tanny pics!

Wow Brad they're gorgeous! I can't believe the amazing colors on those guys. I love Polly's color and her zest for bloodshed!

Pardon me for butting in and taking the topic a little off course, but is that a rack-style system of plastic/tupperware boxes you are keeping your BTS in in the photos? :D
Great Keis btw! Love them!

Very nice Brad! I just you weren't such a baby about handling them so we could see some pictures of the whole skink. Are you afraid of butterflies too? :nervous:

HAHA, so I originally read this on my phone at work in the break room. I started busting up laughing and everyone just looked at me weird.

Once I get some company who will help with my reptiles (my brother) I will have him video tape me trying to handle that some of the keis.

Thanks! And yes, it is a rack type set up using rubbermaid tubs. I have a picture of my quarantine room, I need to get more of the reptile room.

Haha! The tubs are 36"x18"x20 somthing inches tall. I think they are 50gal equivalent, however, they are extra tall. So more like 30 gal breeder size. I went with the taller tubs so I didnt have to use lids. But when doing this, make sure the sides are smooth. Most tubs have "levels" or "stairs" on the side that would make it pretty easy for a BTS to climb out.
