I wish there were some way to tell what gender they are shortly after they are born, or in some cases when they are sub-adults. lol

Re: 2014 Baby Meraukes
You guys realize that Susann already has a nice group of breeders that probably produces more than enough babies for her every year, right? It would be awesome if we could keep every baby every year, but fortunately that is not necessary when you already have an established breeding group.

Re: 2014 Baby Meraukes
Like I said Jeff. .. kidding.
I know she has plenty to keep her busy. Sometimes babies are like a beautiful cake - too pretty to eat but that's what you got it for. Sometimes I think I want to keep all of our babies but that's not what I breed for. Still say they are all gorgeous. I didn't realize they would have so much color that young.

Re: 2014 Baby Meraukes
Babies are 4 weeks old, and I'm waiting on the 3 smallest to shed: Mario, Peach, and Daisy.
I shot two sets of pictures in two different lights; the first set is a bit devoid of color, whereas the second set turned out a bit yellow
Can't win for loosing
MARIO --hasn't shed yet
LUIGI
BOWSER
TOAD
YOSHI
PEACH --hasn't shed yet
DAISY --hasn't shed yet

Those post-shed colors are coming in nicely. Should be screamers as adults!

I would love to see a quick video of the babies on YouTube if you have time. There are very few or any good blue tongue skink videos out there. lol

I know you are busy, but I thought I would ask. I just still cannot believe how few BTS breeders there are in the USA. Look how many Ball Python breeders there are? lol I also saw some of the pictures that you have of one of your BTS before and after shed photos... WOW! That is just crazy.

Well, it's much harder and less profitable to breed BTS than it is to breed ball pythons. BTS breeding is usually more of a hobby than a job, unlike breeding ball pythons which can make you loads of cash.
