Picky eater

My skink is a very picky eater. I have tried to feed her a very wide variety of protein and vegetables and the only thing she will eat is quail eggs. Recently she didn't eat for a little over a month. I gave her a bath and she ate her dog food but that only worked once, and after that I found out that too many baths can do more harm than good. Now she is back to only eating quail eggs. Do you guys have any advice on how to get a picky eater to eat healthy?

Baths are not bad. Once a week is fine. I just don't suggest pulling him out of his environment to give him a bath if it isn't necessary. This time of year many go off feed in preparation for brumation. Whether you encourage it or not, some will and some won't. Higher temps may discourage it. If they want to brumate though, they will and it's an important part of their life cycle. Picky eaters can be encouraged by a little raw scrambled egg mixed in and put over the top of whatever you're feeding. Except for my males when in breeding mode, I've never had one refuse this.

I will definitely give this a try. I'll put eggs on top of her dog food and veggies. Thanks for the help.

My BTS is a hard picky eater. He wont touch most things but He does like the occasional Hornworm, and will eat a mix of high quality wet/dry dog food. But so far I can only get him excited with soft boiled Eggs, (Chicken and Quail) and Snails are his favorite thing to get him going. I have been looking for more ideas on what else to try to get him to eat more veggies.

This time of year (especially males) wouldn't be a good time to expect any large amount of food consumption. And once adults, they are fine with eating once or twice a week. They have very slow metabolisms and they really don't do a heck of a lot to use up calories.
The pickiest of them all will seldom refuse raw egg or overripe banana.
