Does the Terrarium need to be in a quiet Room

Hello,

basically the Subject. Do Bts need a quiet surrounding (room) where the terrarium is standing or can I place the terrarium in my living room where I also listen to music, watch movies and so on?

From what I read in other threads, it depends on the skink. Personality wise, or even if it were WC, CBB, etc.

Some adapt and might even watch the TV (I swear mine does sometimes,) but other skinks might not adapt to such noises.

I'd keep an eye on whether or not it gets stressed after a while of having it.

Your best bet is to put it in the room where it is going to be forever. I myself have several, so they are in every room, and they have no ill effects even when I'm watching a Packers or Rangers game and screaming at the TV. Friends of mine have very loud kids and grandkids--and skinks. The key is not moving them around once they're where you're going to keep them. I'm sure they'd prefer quiet but that is not the case in most households. If you're one of those who stays up late just throw a towel or something over the front to create darkness in his cage when it's time for him to go to sleep. I do not own wild caught, but I'm sure captive bred are used to or can get used to most human activities.

I also thought that they probably adapt to their environment. You also mentioned not moving them around. I'm not sure yet if the place where the terrarium is right now is the best spot in the room. Mainly due to temperature. It's winter right now in Germany and the Temperature in the Terrarium (measured at the cool side of the Terrarium) is between 68 degrees Fahrenheit and 73 during the day. During the night it usually goes down to 64. Under the heat lamp temperature is between 86 and 95 depending on the distance to the headlamp ( i have a cork tunnel under the heat lamp which the skink likes to climb on to bask closer to the heat lamp).

I also have to mention I have an eastern BTs which is captive bred and is around 3 months old. The breeder said the origin of the animals is from the area around Sydney and that they are well adapted to a cooler environment. What do you think? I was thinking about moving the terrarium in front of a heater to increase the overall temperature a bit. I plan the let the skink brumate in January/February and then I would move the terrarium to a place that isn't heated.

Sorry slightly offtopic but its the first bts i keep and i don't want to make any mistakes.

I find my easterns do not like anything much over 85 degrees. They rarely bask and most times I'll find them under their hides on the cool end. Yours being a baby, your temps sound fine to me.
