Found this food list on a Facebook group and just wondered if anyone had ever fed their skink citrus rind/peel? I would never have even thought of it til I saw this so just wondered what everyone thought

I wouldn't consider skinks an herbivore, and the acidic content in rinds/peels could cause issues. I wouldn't even think about it. And unless one hundred percent sure they're organic, rinds/peels could have pesticide residue. I'd also question their nutritional value.

Thanks splashy, you seem to have confirmed my thoughts!

The food chart on this forum is much better being specific to blue tongue skinks. :ohyes:

BTS are definitely not herbivores.

Yeh I always go off the one on here, it’s awesome, the amount of times I have it open on my phone while shopping is amusing haha.
Just goes to show though on Facebook groups etc the amount of incorrect info going around. I know that blueys need their protein etc aswell and aren’t herbivores I just thought that was giving ideas of veg etc so worth a look, but now I know better.
