Fruit beetle larvae

Has anyone fed their BT’s fruit beetle larvae. Currently struggling to get any silkworms and the pet shop have suggested these as an alternative? What do you think?

Here’s a list of options, let me know which you’ve used
hi suzanne, we keep all sizes of brown crickets, black crickets, locusts, waxworm, all sizes of mealworm, calci worms, fruit flies....pachnoda grubs, dubia roaches, buffalo worms and springtails are ordered each week to customer orders, i dont appear to be able to get silkworms atm but the fruit beetle larvae may be a good alternative...

Will help you decide. IMO they look like a good option , good protein and fat content, Ca/P about 1 ( not flash but better than other more common feeder insects ).

Re silkworms , if the worms aren't available , I'm betting you can still get silkworm eggs .
These will likely start hatching within 2 to 3 weeks of arrival and in a month will getting big enough to offer to your lizard.

Thanks for this, sorry about delay in my response - having a bit of a stressful few weeks.
Il try the beetle larvae ones for now and see how he goes then il start with my Own silk worms again when it’s a little warmer... I had loads at one point to the point I was giving them away, then suddenly the 3rd or 4th round of eggs just didn’t do anything - all I can think Is it was the dip in temperature into winter.
