Help! What are these discolorations on my BTS's face?

Postby justynaewa » Sat Apr 27, 2019 11:21 am

Worried about my little guy.
Today, I noticed a series of discolorations on his face (see attached photo). They are around the bottom of his eye, and seem to be a little dented (inward). The scale seems to be "flaking" over the second little patch of discoloration.
Does anyone know what this is? He is behaving normally, he is active, and he is eating normally. It does not seem to hurt him when I touch it. (He let me examine it and I washed it gently with water, but I don't know what else to do.)
I have made an appointment with the veterinarian, but I wanted to know if there is anything I can do in the meantime.
Can anyone help please?

Looks like bruising. Maybe he scratched or pushed his face off the walls or cage furnishing. Let us know what the vet says.

Hmm, poor guy. It does look like he knocked it on something. Let us know what the vet says.
