Hey everyone, I’m going to try and save some people some time or some money or both in the long run. I have just started preparing for my new blue tongues and have been in a whirlwind of research and reviews and a buying spree.
One of the things I had trouble with was the screen too and the filtering effects on a bulb. Well I just want anyone out there in my position of waiting on a new enclosure to ship that if you get a 40 breeder, and a 100 watt megaray, that it is still too much to use output wise. I’d go with the 70 watt for sure and I’ve ordered one to replace the 100 watt.
Below are the photos of equipment and measurements of the UVI. I hope this helps someone out.

Hey good deal I’ll be having tons more to add soon data wise! I’ve got some stuff to add about a thermostat and the readings from the 70 watt, also a heat emitter to tie it all in lol.
I’ll be getting an orange Merauke from suesblues for certain, and a northern from Deb’s I think if I can get a good dark classic. Both will go in separate t8 enclosures from animal plastics.

Re: 100 watt Megaray and output measurements through screen.
I do something similar with my Solarmeter Model 6.2 , and check my UV sources every few months .
Having either a Model 6.5 or a Model 6.2 is a must IMO for anyone who has more than one pet skink , dragon or monitor who requires UVA & UVB.
Long term the meters pay for themselves in your being more sure the UV flux from the UV sources is adequate and your knowing when for sure to replace the UV sources & in vet bills (illnesses like MBD and others likely avoided).
