Merauke VS. Irian Jaya. Differences?

I recently picked up a blue tongue skink from an acquaintance of mine, and i asked him what locale it was. He stated that the mother was imported from Indonesia, and bred in my state, so he doesn't know the locale. I've heard that it could be other a Merauke or an Irian Jaya, is there any distinctive characteristics? I've googled it and it says speckling on the legs (which they both apparently have?..) but i'd like to hear it firsthand from someone who owns Meraukes or Irian Jayas. I can post pictures once I get home. (I may sound naive, which i am but only to Blue Tongue locales. I've been working with reptiles for 2 1/2 years.)

I own both . Irian Jayas typically have thicker bands and will be smaller as adults. Appearance wise, the differences are pretty subtle and the care is virtually identical. Some experts actually consider the Irian Jaya as a type of Merauke, however, currently they are still their own unnamed subspecies. Some of us here will be able to tell you what you have once you post pictures.
