Axanthic gigas keyensis

Postby Cherbear » Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:17 pm

I'm beyond THRILLED to have aquired a litter of T. gigas keyensis along with the mother that contained a axanthic. It is the first one I have ever personally heard about. They were born in the United states from an imported gravid female. Here are some photos of the axanthic and a sibling, both of which shed today.
I hope to eventually try my luck with breeding them. Kei islands are my absolute favorite gigas subspecies.

Edit: pics did loose a little quality on here. You can also see the photos at https://www.instagram.com/p/BtwsEOrnok8 ... tjvtudwwz2

The skinks have their own side building on the property. We will also be moving soon and will be building something larger. Once it's all set up I'll post photos of it.

Wow!!! Congrats on the axanthic!!! It's amazing looking!!! I would also like to work with Kei islands one day, they are my favorite blue tongue skink subspecies. Good luck with future breeding attempts! :D

A pleasant surprise though.
You knew I’d chime in at the mention of the “A word.”
I believe there may be a T+ key island floating around somewhere...and a green patternless and a regular patternless, too.

My friend had the green patternless! I wish he still did. It was one of the most stunning keyensis ive ever seen. He had a few extraordinary examples actually.
