adult male Northern BTS for sale in central IL - pickup only - $150 - ***SOLD***

Hello all,

I have an adult male Northern BTS that I'd like to sell.

I purchased him as a baby in 2010 from Ray Gurgui. I had purchased two of them at the time, hoping to end up with a female for the male that I already had, but I struck out. I am looking to part with him to free up space for other reptile projects or perhaps a proven female Northern.

I can 100% guarantee that he is a male, as I have personally witnessed him everting hemipenes.

I must say up front that he has a missing toe on his front left foot and is missing just the very tip of a toe on his right front foot due to a shedding issue when he was a baby. That was one of the reasons I switched away from using Care Fresh as a substrate as I have noticed a tendency for it to keep things too dry, leading to issues like this. In any case, he has good coloration and would make a great breeder.

He has always been a little skittish and he doesn't get handled as often as my other Northern, which is a 12-year-old animal and a true family pet in every sense of the word. I had always intended for this one to be a breeder, but never ended up with a female. He tends to calm down after a short period of handling.

As I acknowledge he is imperfect, I am offering good price as compared to what they tend to be going for these days. I am not especially concerned with the money, as freeing up space is more important to me.

At this time, I am not looking to ship and am offering him as pick-up only. If offering him locally turns out to be a bust, I will consider changing my stance on that in the future. I am happy to provide any number of photographs of him from any angle for anyone who is interested.
