New Kei Islands BTS

Postby Dakota » Wed Dec 30, 2015 6:40 pm

Picked up 10 today from a local importer. A little rough around the edges, but I'm very happy! Maxx looked more roughed up than these when I got him, so I expect they'll look quite normal when adults. One does have a regenerating tail, though. Sorry for the crappy phone pics, but I thought I'd show them off.

Thank you, skinks101.

Nick, I think it is odd to see such short, fat tails!

Here are some individual pictures. K-5 and K-7 are my favorite.

And as a disclaimer: yes, I am aware they have bite varying bite marks. They are being dealt with accordingly.

Even though they are in their "ugly duckling" phase right now, I still find them quite attractive. I REALLY like K-5 and K-7, I hope they end up a pair. I think K-4 and K-9 would make a good pair with the yellow they got going on. But who knows how they'll end up developing. Excited to watch them grow.

Thank you! They are a joy to keep. One thing is for sure: I don't miss baby skink poo!

Also, I am getting a substantial amount of people asking to buy these animals. I realize I forgot to put it in the original post, but these guys are not for sale. The importer is a friend I've known since I first moved to Florida, he trusted me to fix these skinks instead of selling them, reason why he sold them to me. I might sell off a few once I know the sex ratio, but please: don't hold your breaths. Lol. I hope everyone had a good New Year, the international hangover day.
