This is very interesting Richard. So recognising ovulation is as much to do with their behaviour and posture, as it is their appearance.

Well a bit of a mix
I miss most of them doing it,and i do check on them often,but yeah mostly on going in to check on them i see them sitting there very awkward like and kinked,they act different,because of it,then usually an hiur or two later they are back to acting normal again,no kinks,no sitting there all awkward like

Thanks Richard. Your observations are valuable and interesting and I agree that what you are seeing is ovulation, as I've observed ovulation in other species of reptile, like pythons. I suspect that ovulation in blue-tongues is poorly documented, as it's so brief compared to some other reptiles. Most keepers would miss it or not recognise it.
