Doubled my collection this year, mega picture thread.

Postby Jbolar » Fri Aug 21, 2015 1:56 pm

This last year has been very busy for me, I would like to think I've worked pretty hard to build a good start on my collection of Northern blue tongues but with a TON of help from Austin and a few others I have Put together this Humble little group. I'm hoping to add at least 8 more northerns once I have figured out genders. So the following skinks are a mix of Austin, Jeff, Fenn, Bonita, Deb and Ray.

Whoa! What an amazing variety - I bet the Aussies are jealous of what is available here for once

Phi and Victor stand out as they look like Easterns! With hardly any black "arrow points" and diminished "sun spots"

Someone on a Facebook group posted a picture of what I was certain was an Eastern but apparently it was one of Rays "Eastern" looking Northern's - as if it wasnt hard enough to tell the different species and sub-species apart already

Nice collection and looking forward to more extreme varieties of Northern's :ohyes:

Mate that group is anything but humble. Some great looking animals there.

Dood I don't think the aussies are ever jealous of a great species of animal being further developed by other people. It gets new people becoming keepers of bts.

OK, I admit it. I have been a little jealous of the beautiful litters I've been seeing from up north this season. Nothing like those northerns near me. Those in the area are very lucky to have such awesome breeders!

Australia still has stuff that we haven't even begun to touch upon. makes me jealous seeing all the stuff you got that we don't have like my favorite Westerns.

Yes, well I guess BTS are natives here ;) But even within Australia is weird. I'd probably have a hard time getting a western over here on the East. I secretly would love a goldfield shingleback but not confident in my chances of finding one around here.

Westerns get sold here not to uncommon, the issue we have mainly is you need an R2 licence (Advanced Reptile Non Venomous) not just standard licence for the Westerns, mainly see adult or pair Goldfields for sale over here though from my searches.
