That is a very good looking animal. What would be the total length?

I'm from Long Island and would gladly go pick one up in SI if this breeder is still producing!! Expecting a baby from Vin Russo this spring, but if his Meraukes do not breed...........??
Hard to beat a giant Merauke!! Absolutely awesome and one of my personal favorites!

Thanks guys :) Im not usually a fan of gigas blue tongues but I do admit, I'm pretty fond of this one. :P She couldn't remember the name of the breeder, just that he was out near staten island, ny. She said she drove out there 3 years ago to pick a baby out of a litter and that she wanted this one because it looked the most like the mother, which was there too. She also said he had quite a few skinks of all different types but shes not, like, a reptile enthusiast so didn't know what kinds they were and a bunch of other species of reptiles. I'm not sure if it really is captive bred since I can't confirm it without a breeder name but she isn't in the reptile hobby deep enough to know saying a merauke is captive bred would make it more desirable, ya know? I'm actually wondering if it WAS Vin Russo, she said he didn't advertise much about keeping and breeding skinks.

In any case, Mr. Pickles is a really pretty skink I sure don't mind having around, I honestly had picked it up with the thought to find him a good home since she is having to sell all her reptiles because shes moving very very soon so figured I'd take him in a while since I'm in no rush and could find him a good bluey loving home. I didn't actually know much what it looked like, was just trying to help out a friend. Now im kinda thinking he might be stickin around :P

Total length I took last night was roughly 28 inches snout to tail tip. Big boy :P Or girl.

an old neighbor of mine was a fish/reptile fan and I could have sworn he had a friend that had some blue tongue skinks that he brought me my brother and my mom to see one time. This was when I first wanted one and my brother wanted a bearded dragon, he showed us both. Wonder if this is the same person....

Going to show to Vin and ask if mine will get this big....What a spectacular example! Showed to some friends
and first question was (I'm sure you know!) Is THAT for sale???? I know quite a few Indo freaks, as I am one myself!
I think I'll look again...
