First Sunshine of Spring

Postby saisaac » Thu May 01, 2014 12:02 pm

It has been pretty stormy in the Midwest lately, but before the clouds rolled in, we had a few nice sunny days. We managed to get Chewy and Malla out in the sun for a few hours on one of the nicer days. It was still somewhat cool (upper 70s), but my truck bed was nice and warm so we let them each get a turn exploring in the sunshine.

They are both so gorgeous! I love chewy's colors! I'm sure they loved the warmth :) the first nice day around here, I put Roarschak in the grass and he took off! Summers favorite for herps!

Nice to see them out in the sunshine but I have to laugh at you thinking that they upper 70s is cool. That is a very warm summers day in the English hills!!!

Haha yeah I suppose it is. It is a lot warmer than it has been so far this year. We have had a long winter with snow fall well into April. It'll be getting near 100 degrees outside on clear days within the next month or so and pretty humid too.

They look great! I never tire of seeing skinks in natural sunshine and I'm sure they loved it, even though Chewy was a bit put out at the lack of a grassy knoll to hide in!

Thanks for the compliments. We are very fond of them. Malla is going through a shed right now so soon she is going to have her beautiful orange shining again :)

Yeah, he wanted to be in the yard, but it yard was wet and colder so he didn't get to explore the jungle that was my back yard at the time. Now that its warmer again and mowed I'll have to get them out for more adventures.
