I won't be picking this guy up (no space/time for a new species), but curiosity is killer. This ittle skink was posted on Craigslist for free, labeled simply "African Skink."
Any thoughts on what this fella actually is are greatly appreciated!!
Thank you so much, as always!
"African Skink" ID? Since you guys are so awesome at it!

It kinda reminds me of the common Indian skink or "golden lizard" but they don't have that bright blue on the side...how large is it and did they give any other info on it?

They didn't provide any other info... Here's the text:
"Free to good home -- Lizard
Little African skink free to good home, must pick up.
No enclosure just container to take him home in.
Eats small dubia, crickets and mealworms.
Email me with phone number and if his still available I'll give you a call.
Located in whittier. "
I found something called a "Black throated Skink" on Google that bore a close resemblance, but couldn't find any sort of scientific name or other info.

I vote for : Speckle-lipped Mabuya (Trachylepis maculilabris)
