Walked in on female eastern dropping,setting up a lay box for the mertens,3 were already out,7 all up so far,and shes still got a few to go,there tiny babies,im to used to blotchies perhaps,might film a couple to put on my u tube page

Ive seen every skink popping so far this season,only 5 litters so far though including the hosmers skinks,never had that before

Yep definatly need to sort out a holdback rack,especially for scincoides,thankfully the others seem fine in group raising situations but could be handy there to,may have one more eastern to go

I've always been a bit tentative talking about keeping blueys in racks, in case the warm fluffy type keepers get their noses out of joint. I'm a card carrying rack lover.

Nothing beats a good rack.

Most important thing is getting conditions right,ive never used a rack but pretty keen to give them a try

I missed number 8,but filmed 9 then 10 and 11 from go to whoa,fone died during ten and 11,shes working on 15 now,if i didnt miss any inbetween

The Blotched and Shingleback females don't care that the babies are all over them , that's so cool ! Indoor maternity cage, what number baby was being born in the video, female was still pretty round in the back end .

That was number 9 ray,might put vid of ten an 11 up to,goes for a while though

Still no more yet,legs are staying elevated and shes pushing,she looks quite tired

If you had some of those "doctors tables" that was mentioned a few months ago in a discussion on morphs you could probably end up with more tanimbars out of that litter.

Its been a while, I sure hope someone gets that reference

Or hell even some hypo and or melanistic since those amazing tables can do so much...

I'll never get over how gross live birth is, when the emerald boas dropped her litter *darn was it messy with the 2 ft drop and splatter.. at least the skinks clean up after themselves

Haha,yeah i imagine boas could get messy,shes been pushing for ages now with no more bubs yet,maybe i got my crosses wrong and she has the phantom merauke babies in her

How she sits now,pushing,contorted,back quarters skinnied up,the rest still solidish,she looks like johnny bravo,lol

Will keep an eye on her incase shes having issues,she does seem tired and they often take breaks between spitting a few more out

I posted a vid up of ten and 11 being born,with lots of photo bombers and the bluemountains lass though she would have a taste of my phone,lol

Hmmm,seems my counting skills equal my predictions of when females will drop,i collected 12 out of cage when she was still pushing,she seems done and active again now,couldnt find any extras,shrs had a small drink and a bite to eat and is now cruising the cage
