Oh man hahahah Richard. I certainly hope that they are both females, and im sure your 100% better at this than i am. Ill put them in a tub with my big male tomorrow and see how he responds to them. It will make my whole week if they turn out to be girls

This is a 2 year old pr,male the boofhead, the other 5 i have from this litter are similar build to this female, all females

Its hard to say from those pics of yours, some the light one looks very female, others maybe male, the prob with behaviour sexing yours is that females not ready will often go at males like that, some are even more aggressive and little females can actially beat up on quite large males outsode of there breeding period mostly but also when in it

2 of my female easterns are doing exactly what those two are doing, one is the aggressor, the other arches back towards her to make it harder to bite

Joys of behaviour sexing,lol

Keep a close eye on them if they poop, cycled males pop hemipenes alot, usually leaving plugs along with it

Thank you, great information to have. I nearly had a good lock up with the hypo easterns a few minutes ago. The male bit, held, and tried to position his tail. Then he left a small amount of fluid on her leg, and walked away  Now he appears to be taking a nap. Im putting each Northern in the tub with another twice a day till something happens. I have a few where it looks like the male is ready to go, and a few where it seems the female is ready, so far no actual success though. Unfortunately i have even more where i am completely lost as to gender.

First timers are always the hardest. Young male BTS are like young teenage humans. They aren't even sure about what they want yet, let alone how to get it. It really is just a matter of continuing to give them opportunities until they accidentally get it right.

Also, I can see the last pictures you posted, but still none of the others.

 ray

Austin if u cooled them cooled them, might take a week or 2 for them to really fire up,when both ready they dont fool around, some males do diddly squat till they know a females ready,if males are trying though thats a good early sign

One other thing, some males stuff around for up to ten mins before attempting to copulate,so its good to persist for a while witj ones that appear to aggressive, northens are shocking for that with me,at first i would seperate and try the next day until jeff mentioned leaving them a bit longer and bang it happened the next intro

Hopefully the tanny can tap it in for you ray

Ill just keep pairing them up till something happens. I didnt expect the ones that were cooled to be ready this soon, im just taking advantage of my three day weekend and hoping that ill have something pan out before i have to go back. Plus.. it gives me a perfect excuse to sit in my recliner for three days and skink watch.
