Popping lizards

Postby kl » Sat Feb 01, 2014 7:58 am

I see this mentioned from time to time. How safe is this procedure and how many people here do it vs. don't do it?

In the blue bible it says both males and females pop out, as well.

I don't like it, mainly because a lot of people do it incorrectly.

I've never felt comfortable doing it with any species. I prefer to just watch defecation and look for hemipene eversion, or just patiently wait for other signs.

Its not always reliable,if they dont pop it could still be a male, and they can be easily injured, but yes, like probing, apparently its inconsistant
