i own many animals, Theraphosidae mainly, BUT 2 weeks ago i rescued a HUGE female T. gigas gigas ( and this let me think at some sort of hybridation between gigas x evanescens ) ..
Well, i cant really say how much i love this sweetie, its hard to find them here in Italy and i finally grabbed one
Ill get more without any doubt, even babies if i decide myself to visit the Hamm-Show.
Her Set-up:
160 centimetres l x 55 centimetres w x 55 centimetres h
almost 2 centimetres of sphagnum peat ( it will be 10 centimetres soon )
a self-made rockish-hide on the cold side
basking spot
and UVB tube 5 or 7% i dont really remember it atm
Her ID + General infos:
Tiliqua gigas gigas ( or hybrid gigas x evanescens )
Lenght head-tail -> 52 centimetres -> 20.5 inches
Weight -> 0.9 Kilograms -> 1.98 lb
2 years old
Sex: 99% Female as the previus owner said but i strong doubt it
Today i got a fresh poop and my exotic vet found a "nice" colony of Oxyuridae on it ..
So i had to CLEAN ENTIRELY everything, kicking off the peat and welcoming newspaper everywhere, easiest for cleaning up when needed.
Now i have to work on those Oxyuridae for a month and then again to vet, hope it goes well
The bts is good looking, she literally CAUGHT me on this fantastic genus, shes curious, seems healthy enough, was a bit sleepy/lethargic before the therapy but now its ok and active, even the diet is finally good too ( the previus owner used a bad diet on every front
)What to say more? Im REALLY HAPPY to join this forum
