I'm not advocating it is any sort of permanent enclosure. Just something you could let your reptiles explore in while you were out in the yard yourself. I wouldn't feel safe leaving my skink outside unattended in pretty much anything.

I think its a great idea. Something that I may look into for pairing the skinks in spring. And Dakota, the title didn't say "hey look now we can keep our skinks in tents!"

jackdaws and birds of prey would rip through that in seconds in my garden, pigeons would just bounce off the side if they manage to hit it when landing i guess.
in the other garden i often visit, the squirrels and crowbirds and magpies would do the same in half that time if there is a funny looking intruder inside of it.

not to mention the odd ferret relatives, cats and mårdhund and such that run around when you dont look.

i was thinking of getting one of the common rabbit houses for sale here, they provide a hide, shade and sun as well as protects against birds at least.
