Thought it might be nice to compile some stuff from youtube of blueys in the wild.


Centralian BTS and attempted predation by king brown snake

It is hard to tell if the snakes fangs manage to actually penetrate the skink. No doubt if the animal was smaller it would have been an easy meal. But the smooth scales and osteoderms as well as puffing up may have kept this one alive.

various brown snake species seem to like eating them,looks like that centralian made the snakes job tricky or the brown was hoping its venom kicked in before trying to consume the snake

Wow, that was a dramatic video! I think snakes are cool but I am rooting for the bluey-- hope he made it! Like the other videos too; thanks for compiling them in one place! Here's another one to add to the list:

Crazy videos! I was scared for the skink being attacked by the snake. But with the fighting Northerns, I got a giggle from them wiggling away.

id say that last one was found hiding in all that stuff and isnt up to heat so a tad lethargic and cornered by camera man,thats quite common with easterns,ive had wild ones make there way into my old herp shed,garage,hence there often called common bluetongues over here,theu love human disturbed areas

Ive seen some pretty nasty shingle fights. Luckily they dont seem to hurt each other much, but they will go as far as to death roll.

I used to live someplace with a VERY high and dense shingle population, so that would most likely explain why fights were quite common.
