individual variation with tongue flicking

Anyone notice differences in tongue flicking behavior. Of course temperature and stuff makes a ton of a difference but I feel my young female flicks hers a lot faster and through a wider arc than my male. Not sure if anyones seen this.

only thing ive noticed is how they use tongue flicking to express things. Like fear/carefulness, excitement, "tasty", curiosity(explorative), anger.....and that my skinks show these in very varying degrees depending on their individual personality.
litchie flicks his tongue a lot faster than pomme, even when he has been basking for 2 days straight without moving from the spot.

Yes, they do have a variation. Kiah, for example, has a slow and deliberate flick, like he's all clued up already and calm about things. Jade is faster at flicking, but once shes chilled out a bit, its slower, too, it's just her eyes that dart about!

Most of the other Easterns I've had, have quicker flicks and show a more wary side. All the shinglebacks are so laid back, they are all kind of the same, but that's so different to the wild ones, who are obviously more fearful and cautious, so aside from displays, they'll have a faster flick than my captive animals.
