Thanks for the reception. This little guy is already really calm and seems to like being out of his cage. Today he ate some dandelion flowers, hard boiled egg with the shell, and tried a peach slice (didn't seem to care for it).

Steve is beautiful and what gorgeous golden eyes.

Welcome to the site. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I can't wait to see more pictures as he grows :hyper:

Peach can sometimes be a little acidic, not always, but it might have been a little tart on the tongue. Get them nice and ripe and they tend to lose a little of that acidity.

With your egg shell, i don't know if you fed cooked or uncooked. It's fine to feed in pieces, just watch for sharp shards that might do damage to the gums and inside of the mouth. I usually pound cooked eggshells with a pestle and mortar, which gives a nice dust. Although they can eat whole eggs, once cooked, eggshell becomes harder and the fragments can be quite sharp. Uncooked eggs do break up more easily and are usually softer and not a problem to feed as a whole egg
