Different baby personalities

I'm sure others have noticed this, any thoughts? I have only one baby from my group that will actually tongue display-he is the angry cute one. The rest vary from pretty much friendly to hissy and bitey but no tongue display.

I haven't had more than one baby at one time, so I can't speak for litters having different "mood swings" and "quirks", but keeping lots of shinglebacks together, with the same environment, same food and husbandry, I know I have lots of very individual "personalities"! Suunto is so laid back she may as well be sleeping, but Lutea is a feisty one and still displays at me from time to time.

All my shingles had a different start in life, so have experiences which may make them the individuals they are, but I firmly believe babies are capable of thought processes and decisions, inherent to them, which make them act differently, even when exposed to the same husbandry and upbringing.

I noticed HUGE differences in the personalities of Xyla's babies from last year. I only had Maddie's babies for their first month, so I can't really speak as much about them--I noticed some differences but nobody really stood out; most would give a halfhearted huff when you reached for them but nobody got more upset than that. Rio was always on the go and ready to explore, the other 4 were a bit more cautious at first.
Xyla's babies; #1 (Rosie) and #3 would ALWAYS get up and come check things out if anybody even just slowed down by their tanks, #5 was a close second; #2 and #6--not so much. Rosie RARELY huffs at all, unless you have to get her up after she's down for the night. #4 (Sam) HATES everything that moves, huffs if you look at him; nobody else in the family but me will agree to touch him anymore... I've tried different tanks, I've tried different hides, I've tried different places for his tank, I've tried different temperatures--nada difference; dude just hates people. He was born here, is now 1+ year old, has had the same start, conditions, and interaction as the others.
So I have to be of the opinion that you can condition their personality to a certain degree, but they absolutely come with a fair amount from birth.

I do have to throw in too that the batch of babies with bigger personality variance have a bigger personality variance in parents too. The mother, Xyla, is extremely reserved and huffy, extremely rarely gets to the point where I think she enjoys being out and exploring. The possible fathers, Milo and JJ, are both very laid back--Milo more so than JJ; hardly huffs, loves to come out. JJ can be a bit more reserved at the get-go but is braver than Milo when he gets going.
The other, more evenly tempered batch with Maddie as mother and only JJ as father, the parents are very much alike in personality. Maddie is CBB, and even though she can voice her initial opinions loudly she is a sweetheart after only 2 seconds. JJ is a wild caught import, and even after 5-6 years in captivity definitely has that wild animal "wariness".

ive had whole litters that dont even huff,to whole litters of displayers,even from same pairings over many years,normally you get a mix,some calmer than the rest,some more snappy

oddest being shinglebacks,still yet to have a baby huff let alone display

Can't speak for the whole litter, but I got Ema and Xaunder at month 4, they are brother and sister.

Xaunder was a pig.. at first she was very active, first couple months of me having her.. but now she is a lazy-butt.. still a pig, though.

Ema was almost anorexic many months of me having him.. he would not come out any when I first got him, but now you can find him perching on his hide.
