I personally would not use that as that has nothing to do with the injuries this skink sustained. I wouldn't bother putting anything on them as the have already scabbed over.

yeah they should heal up fine just left alone, they look worse than they are because it kind of scabs up and retains shed, but clears up fine if left be,main thing is seperating from others so it stops and gets a chance to heal

Maxx's head is definitely roughed-up, but he seems to not let little things get to him, haha. He definitely stands his ground. For my Youtube followers, I will make a video of him in about a week so he can settle-in a little.

You can see quite a few scales are gone, but he is still a beauty!

Weighed him, and he is right on 18 grams. The scale kept bouncing back between 17 grams -18 grams, but mostly stayed on the 18.

Congrats on the lil Halmahera. Yes, Bushmaster (here in Colorado) brought in a ton of "farmed" Halmahera babies over the last couple of months and that's where these are all coming from.

He has been so active today! No lunging or anything. He ate twice today, also! I got a picture almost taking a third meal, but decided he didn't want it.

Sorry if I'm annoying you guys! :| I just love Maxx.. never raised a skink from this small.

Wow that head has been chewed up pretty bad. Anyway nice looking skink should be nice as an adult. There will always be some scarring but probably won't see it unless you look for it.

I'm not too worried if the scarring is visible or not, just as long as it is all healed and no infection comes. :)

As there is no other visible damage to the rest of the body I wonder if the head damage may have been caused by the skink trying to push its way through wire mesh or something similar.

The scales on one side of his face is a bit swollen, seems to be going down, though: Image

Other than that, nothing.. tail is full, toes are all there, no dry-scales, just the face.
