And yeah, the manuals are insane - although I think that can probably be attributed to the camera now having the ability to do everything you used to have to use different films, lenses, and just plain skill to have to do with a regular film camera. A friend of mine was telling me about film camera picture taking and developing, and how much she enjoys it, and the reason was that with a digital camera we can do it all with a click - film cameras take actual skill! Not that it doesn't take skill with a digital one too, it's just all in the camera, not also in the prep and developing.
