Northern Herd
Took some photos of my herd - 2.3 Northerns - and thought I'd post 'em.
First a Fitzgerald (Captive Bred Excellence) line female - she is fairly colorless and is fading and speckling even more as she grows which I like:
Next a Bonita Galas line male - he is incredible bright red/orange:
A Seike line female - the blue over her eyes is pretty cool:
Another Fitzgerald line female:
Seike line male:
Thanks for looking!

Re: Northern Herd
I love seeing different types of northerns! That orange one is gorgeous...but then I'm partial to the bright colors
How old are they? Call me crazy but almost all their heads look extremely male-like to me - maybe it's the angle?

Re: Northern Herd
The 2 Fitzgerald line females are 3 years old and bred for the first time this year to the Seike and Galas males who are 2 years old. I think they're gravid but we'll see...
The remaining Seike line female is 2 years old. I've found it really difficult to sex Northerns based on any aspect of their morphology. On the other hand I've found them fairly easy to sex behaviorally when they hit about 18 mos old. But that's just me, others may be better than I am at sexing them from head or body morphology.

Well, with such manly looking ladies, no wonder you're having a hard time...
Interesting, thanks for responding. Good luck with the females being gravid, I'll cross my fingers for you!

Re: Northern Herd
They look great. They are all very slender, obviously not victims of a fast food diet
They look to be in great shape for breeding, hopefully you have successful pregnancies. It's an exciting time, it will be great to see the colour of babies from these girls.

Re: Northern Herd
You have an absolutely amazing group there. I love the Galas line animal. We have two and they just seem to get nicer with each shed.

I will answer this question for you again (not that you are asking ME in either case ) by copying what I wrote as an answer to your previous similar question in Classifieds.
"Just so you are aware, anyone can ship to Canada, but you would almost have to use a licensed import/export business to take your reptile over the border. I say almost, because it could take you months to get all the paperwork and permits needed if you were to try to do it without a "middle-man".
Depending on how they classify BTS, it would cost you a minimum of $500. That's just to get it across the border by the import/export company. Not the shipping fee inside the US or the shipping fee from the border to you in Montreal. If BTS is classified CITES, it would be a minimum of $800. +shipping in US, + shipping in Canada.
That's why most people only buying 1 or 2, or even 10, animals can't afford to ship across the border.
It CAN be done, if you're willing to pay."

Re: Northern Herd
Shipping across borders are super expensive.. Just to get my Axanthic pair over here cost $1,000 alone. That is 1.666.. times more than the actual skinks.. But this is from Malaysia.. I'm sure Canada is a little cheaper.
If I'm not mistaken, Katrina bought some Meraukes off of Jeff, a while back.. maybe asking him about the procedures will do justice.

Katrina's mother drove from Canada to Jeff's house, then drove back.

Re: Northern Herd
I am so surprised how the Seike Male and Seike Female are just about the same! They look like the same skink.
