help northern BTS eye imflammation?

i have a 6 month old northern blue tongue skink that just recently(last 3days) started showing an eye issue in both eyes heres a picture also i have her in aspen bedding

not sure i can explain that,excellent picture of the issue though,nice and clear and detailed,hopefully someones had a similar experience and can offer advice,if not perhaps seeking a vets oppinion is a good idea,the actual eye area looks fine,not inflamed,just appears to have a protusion of some description

this is a reoccuring issue been going on for the last 3 days both eyes will go back to normal and then look like that again

That looks like an irritation to the nictitating membrane rather than the actual eyeball. It could be caused by a foreign body such as a small particle of substrate being trapped between the membrane and eye. Might be best to have a vet take a look in case there is something in there that could lead to a corneal ulcer.

Indeed Norm, it can be due to several reasons.

Nice picture..but you need to see a vet

2/12/13 eyes are completely normal as of this morning will update if changes occur
