In my search of BTS babies, I stumbled across a seller who had about 6 BTS babies for sale. I asked if they were captive or wild caught. His answer was they were "farm bred from Indonesia."
What exactly does that mean? Is that the same as Captive? Or is most likely a 1st clutch from a mother who was Wild?
Farm bred?

Re: Farm bred?
Farm bred means it was bred on a reptile farm in Indonesia. They collect as many wild skinks as they can, and basically throw them all in a big pit and wait for them to breed. They just scoop babies up as they are born and export them to the U.S.

That plus any wild caught babies the locals bring into the exporter.
Many of these "farms" keep a few animals as a loop-hole to legitimize the large numbers of babies they export.
