Re: Blue tongue skink names
Just curious, how do you know for sure its a boy?
Also, I cant put much input into skink names...We name all of ours after StarCraft Zerg Units.
Other than that, I'm Hindu, so I tend to name my other creatures after sanskrit names, Indian mythological creatures, or deities. (and yes, I'm white).

Re: Blue tongue skink names
The blue tongue skink is 2 years old already and the people at the pet shop said he was a boy, he must have dropped a sperm plug or something. I'm not so keen on the name Sue...

If you can listen to the whole song, and NOT name him Sue, I will go away. I don't think you can do it though:

I'm depressed that not everyone understands the Sue reference...

Re: Blue tongue skink names
Why not wait for his personality to come out for a few days! I know that's how I named my boa, with her (prior) attitude issues, she fit into a character from a tv show very well, and got her name that way. Same with my cat, he got his name because he acted much like a video game character I adore.
Or just names you like, I'm a fan of more un-normal names, so that's how I got Mortimer for my BTS, and my snake Nero is a tribute to a passed friend of mine who had a retic. Python named Caligula. There's all sorts of ways, and sometimes names are a bit more fun if you can have a bit of a story behind them!

Re: Blue tongue skink names
Originally I was going to name my BTS either Theodore or Lucian... I ended up with Ajax, just because it fit. =P I also thought about Julius. But I waited to see his personality.
