Evening shower photos

It's been hot and dry for weeks and in the evening I shower the enclosure to water the plants and give a little humidity. The skinks love it and come out from their hidey spots to relish in a soothing shower. Kiah raised his head to the spray, licking the water off his mouth and Lutea enjoyed a whole body bath.

Thought i may have to mod this thread when i saw title,lol

Very nice leah,they do love a spray in hot weather,i sometimes put sprinkler on low to spray half the cages in hot spells,bore water so no restriction,kiahs a cool looking eastern,love its dark face,looks like a 3 day growth,lol,or its trying to blend in with all the shingles,lol

Sorry just done 2 12 hour shifts in a row with a 12 plus on to follow tomoz so a bit batty lol

You two! I'm shocked! The thought didn't even cross my mind, although now I see it could have been a crafty way to get more page hits :lol:

Kiah does have some great face colour, he's got darker around the chops as he's aged, too.

Awww so beautiful :) How do you get them to enjoy water? I tried putting mine in the bathtub and introducing him to the concept of 'shower' and he seemed very displeased. I tried with both the shower and the bath faucet, and with warm and cool water.

In the warm weather, they love it. Through summer I water the plants in the evening. When it's over 30, they all get in on the action. It wasn't a choice am by me- I was cautious not to spray them! They move out of hiding and into the water. I think they just welcome the relief and take the opportunity to get fresh water off the leaves.
