White little bugs in tank and on BTS
I took my skink out to feed him today and I noticed tiny little white moving bugs. I looked online and it said that it could be mites, but I thought mites were black. Anyways I just set up the substrate less than a month ago and I clean out when he poops,so the cage is pretty clean, barely even smells. I was just wondering if it is mites and what I should do to get rid of them and to also prevent them in the future. Thank you

Where were the bugs? On the skink or on bedding? If I had to guess, I would say springtails.

If you get a chance take your finger and touch them. If springtails they will jump.
