Just showing my baby blue, Crowley, off. He/she (not too sure, herp vet THINKS its a she) is a Tasmania blotched. Crowley has the usual beautiful rich and dark colours of a blotched with a gorgeous yellow and white belly and chin.
In the second photo of his tongue out, you can see how dark blue his tongue is
The picture with two baby skinks is of Crowley and his/her sibling

Very cute!,
Do you still have Crowleys sibling?
Are there any notable differences between Tasmanian and Aussie blotched bts?

no I dont still have Crowley's sibling, I wished I kept him/her though.
You know what, im not a hundred percent sure if there are any notable differences. Maybe in colour, Tasmanians are all very the same in colour, however I think they vary a little in other places don't they? Maybe one of the more knowledgeable members could enlighten us Im hoping so

Tassie blotcheds are aussie blotcheds as tassie is australia, the tassie ones can vary, alot are just like mainland lowlands, they do vary though, some are quite distictive looking, almostlike pale vic highands, they are quite variable just like mainland ones
Ive only seen one in person,an albino, only pics with the rest and not lots, hopefully get to see more in time
Your little tykes a nice looking one rani, looks similar to juvie mainland ones, but will change as it matures,so will be interesting to see how it develops, has some nice yellow already on lips

Thank you he is beautiful, love him to bits.. he/she. Can you take a guess on gender from the photos or is it too early to even guess?
And thank you for letting us know all that about blotchies so much to still learn.Ive never seen an albino before, wish it was easier to see different kinds of reptiles around here

Re: Tasmania Blotched blue tongue pics
Can be tricky going off pics, ive found with babies, new borns, big fat ones tend to be males, skinny looking ones females, which is funny as that reverses quick as they grow, females get longer and solider, males look short, skinny and boof headed as they get older, but sometimes differences can be subtle, especially different locales,eg lowlands and highlands, but theres alot of differences even with various locales of highlands

Roll on summer! I can't wait! I know my chances of getting to Tasmania any time soon, are fairly slim, so thank you!
