Lmao thank you very much, I really hope so! The closer I get to finally receiving him, the more nervous I become!
I want to strive for perfection, if that's even possible in this situation haha.

Yes, I know just how you feel. I guess the real knowledge comes with time as you take care of them;

They can live a happy ,healthy long life with out uv lighting,dont have so much faith in reptile uv lighting,they arent miracle lights,feed them poorly with no dietry supplementation and they get mbd just as readily with or with out uv lighting

Dont mean to sound negative but its more important to supply the right conditions heat wise,dietry wise ect ect then it is supplying uv lighting

Didn't mean for it to come off as if I think it's miraculous, I just like the idea of it.
It's just something extra I like to add to the enclosure on top of required care :)

Haha tell me about it! I just spent almost a grand on random stuff for my BTS.
I have a fifty pound box of BTS stuff arriving in three days. I'm so excited to start setting up my enclosure.

Also, UVB makes a skink's colors stand out a lot! It's so beautiful :}

Crm2000 : I'm really glad I got to help! Anytime and good luck with everything ! :}

Hot Carl : Unfortunately, not everything in the box will be shoved into the enclosure at the same time,
but I will be sure to show photos of my finished enclosure when my bluey arrives ^.^

Hmmmm,my indoor ones without uvb are exactly the same colorwise to ones outdoors in direct sun,i dont think uvb has anything to do with there coloring

Exposure to uv light may make there colors appear better,eg walk near a blacklight wearing white,makes the white appear to glow,move away and its normal again

Some uv lights have been known to harm reptiles eyes,some of the coil type ones especially,so sometimes what one thinks is spoiling them is actually the oppasite,skinks reflect alot of the light its believed so the benefits arent as much,nothing wrong with using uv lights though,main point was it isnt nessacary and not as important as alot of other care factors,thats all,no light equals what natural sunlight can provide,just want people to understand uv or no uv,dietry intake is of way way way more importance
