New Bluey Enclosure - Outdoor

Postby Scotts1au » Mon Sep 03, 2012 4:05 am

Hey folks, haven't really been active on here for a while. Thought I'd share a few photos of my new outdoor bluey enclosure. I moved town recently so had to leave my old enclosure behind. As you can see I get a bit carried away. Inside is lined with an old pool surround, top is bird netting to stop any birds of prey. Build on a hill for drainage and sunny aspect. A bit spartan at the moment but will need to plant out. I'll post some more photos soon. The blueys are badly in need of their first shed of the season :-)

You're keeping those guys all wrong. :heated: . The care sheet states a good cage size as 48"x24". That unit is WAY too large.
Joking of course.
Awesome looking set up and fantastic group of skinks.
And to think my family almost moved to Oz when I was a boy :hair:

Looks great Scott. I also look forward to seeing it when you plant it out.

I do like the the look of the bush behind your fence.

That's what I like so much about where I am too, all part of a National Park right up to the fence line. :D

Scott, I don't know how the heck I missed this post until now, but it looks FANTASTIC! I can't wait to see how it develops like your last one. You definitely have a knack for outdoor enclosures!

It's perfect, Scott! You have created a Nirvana for blueys-after the planting and landscaping, it really will be just that. It's fantastic. I feel almost negligent now with my ramshackle put-together for my lot  I'll have to keep an eye on them or they'll pack their bags and hitchhike to Victoria!
