Skinks in outdoor enclosure pictures

Postby Lea » Wed Aug 29, 2012 12:28 am

All the skinks have been awake for a while and so I took the opportunity to do a little gardening, moving a few rocks and digging the ground a little, to bring some new sights and smells into their enclosure, to give some stimulation. They all waited patiently, basking the day away, in the holding pen, until I'd finished. It's not much of a change visually, but its good to see them roaming around and looking inquisitive in the outdoors.

Fred, I have four shinglebacks and Kiah, the eastern. It's approximately 6x6 feet, so plenty of room with the varied terrain and spots to hide. I wish it was bigger, like my old enclosure, but with just the five skinks, at the moment, it gives them enough territory.

Suunto had the day in the enclosure, too. She's come on so much since she woke up, she's the little one in the photos.
