The "money" shots are a little intense for me, but all the surrounding pictures are so interesting that it makes up for it for me haha.

Wow, a lot of awesome photos of some really nice skinks. That being said, a few of those had some hardcore XXX stuff going on there
. Either way, I think I will skip dinner tonight

Re: kimberley northern season off to a good start
he finally clicked into gear and persued the female, but after 5 mins of trying to secure her gave up and resumed basking, left female in anfd had dinner so not sure he tried again, its odd for him to need female to fire him up,each tine hes been basking,so perhaps cold weather makes basking more important

Re: kimberley northern season off to a good start
young male mated the female again today
tried the fiesty lass with the big male,he was to busy trying to shed, but did evenrually grab her,but gave up after a cpl of minutes of persuing her,so popped young prince regent lass in and he went straight for her,so her window isnt shut yet like i presumed, she was succsessfully mated

Re: kimberley northern season off to a good start
so 20 day window so far for prince regent lass
has anyone had a male mate twice in a day or more with northerns,i only get an hour or 2 window to try each time i get down to them, sometimes more, the young male always seems keen but doesnt try after the first time, blotcheds in comprison can do it multiple times, they are usually quite persistant

Re: kimberley northern season off to a good start
I don't have much experience, but my Northerns are once-a-day breeders. It really sucks since I only have 1 good breeder male and several females to breed. I finally understand why having lots of males is important.

So 25 day window for prince regent lass so far, might be the cold nights prolonging it
of interest today was males willingness to mate after a few days off,he grabbed her out of my hand before i put her down, skipping a day or 2 seems to fire males up more

Re: kimberley northern season off to a good start
Big boy covered prince regent lass again after a few days off, thought his interest in her would be over by now,i placed fiesty lass in after that and hes keen, following, chin rubbing but not latching on,these northerns are one hit wonders, some blotchies go many times over a day, fiesty lass was interested to but hes mojo levels are shot, lol
Young males light had blown,so needs warming up,see what happens uf he gets up to temp
