Maternity Update

I prepared the tanks for baby season today, made some new raised hides, and weighed my (hopefully) preggo girls again. Some gained weight, some lost weight and some stayed about the same. Breeding occurred all through March, so babies could show up anytime, but are not expected for another month or so.

Time for a photo-update.

The maternity tanks have towels for bedding to make it easy to spot babies and to make sure the babies don't ingest substrate.

Some nice variety there mel,they all look great to like ml said,some dont balloon like others,but still have good litters,im thinking looks like a good season shaping up for you

I like the silver one i would love to have a silver blue tongue but the next reptile i want will be a standings day gecko or giant day gecko or a monitor i have an african house snake my gf has a corn snake

Fluke and Izuru have both started breathing heavier than normal, and Fluke isn't interested in food anymore. Wocket and Evita don't look far behind. Trouble and Hank don't really seem too different, but fingers stay crossed.

I am so excited ! I can't wait to see who has babies . I hope they wait till we get home . The kids keep asking me about the skinks .

I haven't seen enough gravid BTS' to make any assessment, but to my eye they all look to be in beautiful condition.

So far no babies :'( Many look very large and uncomfortable and are breathing heavily. I keep my fingers crossed and pray to the skink-gods.

I got a new rack that can hold up to 72 bins so all babies can be kept separate right from the start


I also took new photos and weights today. Anyone want to see?

The bins are heated by Flexwatt tape. I'll post more about them when I get them fully set up and in use.
