Haha. I'll try, but Canasta sees another BTS and pees in fright and Nevada gets very scared and defensive anytime he is outside of his house, let alone near another BTS. So unless Cupid swings by and convinces those two that others blueys might have some redeeming qualities, I don't think an into will go well. Probably no aggression, just no getting near one another.

Nice blueys Katrina.

From an aussie's point of view, I love seeing pics of the blueys which are foreign to us.

Maybe we should start some dedicated threads for members to load up their blueys to, eg. Northerns, Meraukes, Indos,Easterns.......etc.. As everyone likes looking at pics :)

Cheers

What beautiful Merauke's <3 I'm curious, what are their ages and aprox lengths? I'm curious bc I have a young Merauke and just like to see other's ages and lengths. Mine's only 4 months old this week and 14 inches long. :]

I like this idea as well! Thoughts on where these should go? I don't want to make too many stickies at the top of this forum, maybe I could make a subforum like the FAQ one and have a thread for each species where people can add their pics?

Where do people think this would belong best?

Hmmm... Off the top of my head:

Rollie - likely 2-3 years old, got him about a year ago thinking he was full grown and he has added 2-3 inches since then. He is between 25 and 26 inches. Around 900 grams.
Canasta - unknown age (not my BTS, but Mel got her as an adult), probably about 19-20". Mel - do you have a more accurate length or age? Haven't weighed her yet.
Jaxi - 4.5 years, 23", 950 grams
Roswell - about 11 years, maybe 21", 650 grams
Phoenix - 1-1.5 years, about 18-19", 304 grams
Nevada - 2-3 years I think, I'd guess about 22" but I haven't measured him. 550 grams

For the Meraukes not pictured:
Kira - 4.5 years, 23", 725 grams
Simon - unknown age, 23", 750 grams
Riff-Raff - about 5, 23", 825 grams

Where on the index menu do you think this should go? And why a new forum as opposed to a subforum off the GDF? Just curious. Maybe if we get a bunch of ideas the mods can vote on them. Would be nice to have picture threads though, showing all the diversity of the species!

General Discussion would be to, well, have discussions about them. And a picture one would be to show different varieties, and compare/contrast the similarities between species and locals and stuff.

maybe a section like the faq somewhere, maybe in advanced section, and then when it opens can have a thread for each species/subspecies

will be good for seeing variety and for helping people maybe id what they have to

beat me to post kat, lol,if u dont want to clutter the gdf maybe put it in the advanced section?

A subforum like the FAQ, with a title like," Blue Tongue pictures." Then inside that page have 'stickys' of all the different types. Members could fill the threads from there.

At the moment, threads like yours Katrina will eventually get buried under later threads. How cool would it be if other members loaded their merauke pics to this thread and it ended up as a library/monument to this bluey form?? Just my thoughts

Cheers
