Will my coming BTS climb, at all?

Hi all.

I am designing my tank for my BTS to come home tomorrow, and I have it setup with lots of cypress mulch (a good 3-1/2 inches deep)

Also I've setup a custom cut slate rock where his food dish will go, so it's separated from the substrate, but the rock is suspended off the substrate by about 3 inches, I've made a ramp for him to climb right up there.

Am I way off? of does this sound do-able for a BTS? will he be able to/want to climb that?

3" would be an easy climb even without a ramp. They will also "climb" the side of the enclosure and use their tail to push up even higher, so make sure you either have really high walls, or a secure lid.

sounds good to me
but take in consideration the cleaning processes in how much stuff to put in there if you want to spend the extra time to effectively clean all the decor
and if you clean the tank like i do ( filling it up with water and a 2-5% bleach solution then letting it sit for an hour) 40-50 gallons of water is alot of weight and it defiantly surprised me when i tried to empty it out all by my self
just want to make the experience with out any surprises

My BTS loves to climb. He'll climb up and down the couch, up and over things. Anything he can scrabble over, he'll try to climb! It's pretty funny when he can't quite make it and his little arms flail around, though.

It won't be hard to clean, the rock can be lifted right out and into the kitchen sink, same with the ramp.

Speaking of cleaning, anyone here use chlorhexidine?
I use it on everything at my reptile zoo to clean and disinfect.

Chlorohexadine is great! I use bleach solution but just spray it down then rinse. I never fill the enclosures with water to clean, wouldn't work well with front opening!

F10SC is my choice for a spray on. It is bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal, sporicidal.

BTS don't climb.
