scales and smell

scales and smell

ok so i keep my bts on aspen and he normally has dust like material on his back so i took a wet paper towel to take it off its just like the fiber from the aspen and when i did it he smelled idk why it was but he did then on his belly were sheded scales that came off on my hand i think its like just left over from his shed is this stuff anything to worry about i also have not found any poop in his tank

Unless shedding, they shouldn't be losing scales and they shouldn't really smell. Definitely not a bad smell unless they just pooped or something. Are the scales just from his last shed? Can you post some pictures, I'm not entirely sure what you are describing. If their enclosure is clean then they shouldn't smell bad or anything.

Not pooping for a while after being moved is totally normal, so I wouldn't worry about that.
