how do i resize a picture thanks

What I do is use http://www.imageshack.com/, this web site uploads the pic and auto resize for you, and them you simply copy the pic url for forums and paste it in your post. Is even better if you can identify the important part and delete all the crap that comes together.

Some other options:
1) Download IrfanView from http://www.irfanview.ca/
This program can resize single pictures or entire batches of hundreds of photos at once. I use the Batch Conversion/Rename function to change hundreds of photos at once. I find changing the largest size to 600 pixels works great for forums.
2) Use Photobucket at http://photobucket.com/
Like ImageShack you make an account, upload your pictures, then paste the IMG code. Photobucket doesn't give you the weird extra code though, just a simple image. You can upload tons of photos at once and share them all very easily.
If you'd like step-by-step tutorials for either of these options, let me know
